Tourism Business Resources

The Forest of Bowland is a showcase for sustainable tourism emphasising the connections between nature, society and culture, while ensuring financial benefits stay within the local community.
The National Landscape team supports a network of like-minded businesses to develop and promote the sustainable tourism opportunities within the Forest of Bowland National Landscape.

The following resources are available to businesses signed up to the Forest of Bowland Sustainable Tourism Network.

Resources

The purpose of the Sense of Place Toolkit is to help you to use the special qualities of the Forest of Bowland National Landscape in developing and promoting your own product, as well as contributing to sustainable tourism.

Eco Escapes is about leaving the car at home and taking the time to explore new places by public transport, on foot or by bike. It’s about discovering the area's wonderful natural environments and the wildlife that makes its home there.

The Eco Escapes Business Toolkit provides resources for promoting the campaign and can help your business align with the special qualities of our National Landscapes.
