Backsbottom Farm, Roeburndale West, Lancaster, LA2 9LL
About Backsbottom Farm:
Backsbottom Farm, located in the North of the Forest of Bowland, just outside the village of Wray, is a farm with wild flower rich hay meadows, ancient semi-natural woodland, pasture fields with wildflowers and interesting old pasture trees, and fell land (part recovering blanket bog). The farm is run with a focus towards nature, wildlife and biodiversity where ever possible, and has been certified as organic by the Soil Association. The long term view for the farm is to adopt a stronger permaculture approach. Rod has a unique offer for educational access visits, with the focus being on the 50 hectares of ancient semi-natural woodland, which is the largest in Lancashire.
