BOWLAND LECTURE 2026

Tithe Barn, Browsholme, Cow Ark, Clitheroe (with thanks to the Parker family)

This year's annual lecture will take place on the evening of Tuesday 6th October, 7.30pm-9.00pm, when Susan Harrison, Curator of Collections with English Heritage, will deliver a talk on the 12th century Cistercian abbey at Sawley, including its history and archaeological finds.

All proceeds will go to support local charities, Slaidburn Archive and Champion Bowland.

£5 admission (pay bar from 7pm). 

Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

The annual event now continues as the Bowland Lecture, hosted by Champion Bowland.
