Join us in April and July for a series of free, stile-free walks in Bowland, where the emphasis is firmly on a friendly atmosphere, fresh air and fantastic surroundings, rather than distance.
All walks start at 10am and finish around 11am, with the option to stay on for refreshments afterwards. Under 18s will need to be accompanied by an adult.
No booking required - just turn up. For more information, please email sandra.silk@lancashire.gov.uk or phone 07973 923142.

Helpful Information
- All the routes will be stile-free but path surfaces will vary and may be muddy and uneven in places. There may be some short inclines and steps on some walks.
- Each Welcoming Walk location will have parking (some are accessible by public transport) and toilet facilities. The walks themselves are free, but participants will need to pay for their own refreshments.
- Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of the walk to allow time for registration.
- Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear. (As there are ticks in Bowland, long trousers are recommended.)
- Remember to bring any medication you may need.
- Please bring sunscreen and insect repellent where needed.
- In the event of poor weather on the day, a leader will be at the start of the walk and a decision on whether to cancel will be made.
