Bus Walks

This selection of walks have been developed in conjunction with Transport for Leisure Ltd (a consultancy practice dealing with access to and within the countryside by public transport) to encourage car free travel in the Forest of Bowland.

Please visit the Countrygoer website for more information (www.countrygoer.org/Bowland.html).

The routes start and end in different village locations and provide links to public transport timetables specific to the particular walk, along with a key to local amenities. So why not leave the car at home and explore the beautiful Bowland countryside in a more sustainable way.

It is strongly advised that you read the following document, which highlights safety information and the Countryside Code, Long Walks - Supporting information in pdf format (71 kb). The document also provides further information about sustainable tourism and how you can make your contribution towards keeping the Forest of Bowland special!
