1. Weigh out the flour carefully
2. Sieve the flour into the bowl – this gets rid of the lumps and makes the scones nice and light
3. Add the margarine and mix until the flour and margarine look like fine breadcrumbs

4. Weigh out the Tasty Lancashire cheese and add to the bowl
5. Add the milk – just half of it at first and then bit by bit until you get the right consistency
6. Mix everything together until a dough forms and then knead the dough until smooth
7. Form the dough into a 2" thick round
8. Cut into nine pieces, place on a greased baking tray, brush with milk and sprinkle with cheese
9. Bake in a hot oven (ask an adult to help with this bit!) for around 15-20 minutes and then carefully move onto a wire rack to cool – mmmmmm!
