Farming in Protected Landscapes Programme

Are you a farmer with land in, or bordering, the Forest of Bowland National Landscape? Our new Farming in Protected Landscapes programme, launched nationally by DEFRA, is opening 1 July 2021 and will fund projects that support nature recovery, tackle climate change, provide opportunities for people to discover nature and support sustainable farm businesses.

Champion Bowland Small Grants Scheme

Champion Bowland manages two grant schemes in the Forest of Bowland National Landscape:

  • For community environmental projects up to £700 you can apply direct to Champion Bowland for a small grant
  • Champion Bowland also runs the Farm Visit Transport Fund which offers support to groups wanting to visit educational farms in the National Landscape, by offering funds towards their transport costs

If you need and advice or support in putting together a funding application to any of these schemes please contact us at the National Landscape office on 01200 448000
